Fees, Forms & Process
PLEASE NOTE: After you fill out an online application, we keep your application on file at the shelter. We do not do follow up calls. Applications are not for "approval," but rather a guide to help us make great matches. After you’ve completed your profile, please come to our shelter to find your perfect match today!
Second
chances happen every day at the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus.
Through expert care and a whole lot of love and
commitment, we find homes for hundreds of animals
each year. Thanks to our medical and training programs,
the longer an animal stays with us the more adoptable
he becomes and there are no time or space limits;
adoptable animals stay in adoption until they find
new homes.
There are many animals waiting at Ozaukee for loving
homes! Since the individual needs of each animal
and each adopter vary, an Adoption Counselor will
work with you one-on-one to help you find the right
match for your home.

Adoption Process
- Each potential adopter
will complete an Adopter Profile that will be
reviewed by an adoption counselor and will stay
on file for 2 months. We do not make appointments, so you can simply come in during our regular adoption hours to meet with your new furry friend. To fill out a cat adoption
profile online click
here.
- A Photo ID with
current address will be requested by the adoption
counselor. If address does not match, please bring
in proof of current address (ex. Utility bill
or other bills).
- The adoption counselor
will ask questions regarding your residence, family
members living in the household and other pets
living in the home to ensure the best match is
made.
