OZAUKEE DOG TRAINING CLASSES

Dog training classes are now being offered at the Ozaukee Campus. The shelter is located at 630 W. Dekora Street in Saukville. Class fees are discounted for dogs adopted from the Ozaukee Campus or any other shelter or rescue group. See individual class listings for fees on other offerings. All of our classes use reward-based training techniques and we will teach you how you can use a clicker for training. Current vaccinations, including combination Distemper vaccination, protection from kennel cough (Bordetella), and Rabies, if your dog is older than four months, are required for all classes. Class size is limited, so sign up today!

Shy Dog Class
For dogs 5 months and older
Class Length: 4 Weeks
Class Fee: Adopted $70/Not Adopted $85
These classes are designed for dogs that are fearful or shy of people, other dogs, objects, noises, etc. We will focus on desensitizing and counter conditioning techniques. We will also teach basic training cues that help your dog to build confidence and make you proud. Dogs come on the first night!

Therapy Dog Class
For dogs 1 year and older
Class Length: 6 Weeks
Class Fee: Adopted $140/Not Adopted $160
Learn what it takes to become an animal therapy team and volunteer in local hospitals, nursing homes, schools and other facilities! This class will help you and your dog practice the skills required for Delta Society Pet Partners® registration and provide helpful hints on how to conduct successful visits. The class includes the Delta Society Pet Partners manual and Team Evaluation by a Delta Society Licensed Team Evaluator. Puppy ABC's
Appropriate Behavior Classes
For dogs less than 5 months old
Class Length: 6 Weeks
Class Fee: Adopted $105/Not Adopted $125
These classes are designed to provide essential socialization with people, other puppies and new places. We discuss normal puppy behavior such as mouthing, chewing and house training and introduce your puppy to important cues like sit, come and down.

Adult Manners Classes
For dogs 5 months and older
Class Length: 6 Weeks
Class Fee: Adopted $105/Not Adopted $125
We will introduce you to the way dogs think and learn. We will focus on basic cues like sit, down, stay, off, drop-it, walking on a loose leash, plus much more. We will discuss common behavior challenges and provide management and training solutions. Please, no dogs the first night of class, humans only!

Beyond Manners Class
For dogs 6 months and over
Class Length: 6 Weeks
Class Fee: Adopted $105/ Not Adopted $125
An intermediate class that will teach you how your dog thinks! Build from your basic skills by adding distractions and real life situations to challenge your dog. Dogs come on the first night!

Clever Canine Tricks Class
For dogs 6 months and over
Class Length: 4 Weeks
Class Fee: $65 all dogs
Teach your dog to be creative and learn how to get the behaviors you want from your dog, not just tricks! This is great fun for both two-legged and four-legged participants. You will have the opportunity to show off your favorite trick at the end! Dogs come on the first night!
