Animal Care Technician/Adoption Counselor

 

 

The Ozaukee Humane Society has an opportunity for a dependable, well-organized individual to join our team as a full time Animal Care Technician.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist our diverse clientele both in person and over the phone in various ways including conducting animal adoptions, making adoption follow-ups, counseling clients who need to surrender their animal, and providing education to the public
• Clean and sanitize animal suites and our facility while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Provide food and water to animals
• Give medical treatments to animals

Animal Care Technician/Adoption Counselors work in a fast paced environment with a competitive wage and comprehensive benefits package. Related college degree or equivalent customer service experience is required. Formal animal care and/or cleaning experience preferred. Candidates must be able to work independently and in a team environment, and have strong attention to detail and customer service skills. Availability to work on evenings, weekends and holidays is a must. Candidates must be committed to treating animals with kindness and respect.
