Support OHS and attend ‘Paws & Claws Gala'

The Ozaukee Humane Society in Grafton, which provides shelter to nearly 2,000 stray, abandoned and injured animals each year, is selling tickets for $100 per person to its “Paws & Claws Gala.” The event will be held at the Brynwood Country Club, 6200 W. Good Hope Road , Milwaukee , on Saturday, April 23. Starting at 5:30 p.m., guests will enjoy a delectable dinner, music and a silent auction with numerous high-dollar prizes, and listen to dog, cat, rabbit and bird stories. One raffle, available only to attendees and offering 108 tickets, will be a $10 per ticket raffle for two tickets on Midwest Airlines. “The event is the largest fund-raiser of the year for our animals, says Beth Burgess, gala co-chair. Shown here with long-haired feline friend Barbie who is looking for a home, Burgess adds, “Raising money for the animals is such a worthwhile cause and I hope others will join me in celebrating them.” Raffle tickets for some other great prizes, such as a $7,500 travel certificate or $6,500 cash; $2,000 travel certificate or $1,500 cash; and $500 cash, do not require the buyer to be present at the gala.
